Grading your evaluation

In questions that ask “How far …” or “To what extent …”, you need to give an answer: “hardly”, “to a limited degree” or “very much”. It’s the same when you want to evaluate the significance of a point you are making, or evaluate a causal factor, the effect of something, or the importance of a particular piece of evidence. So, you need to have a reasonable bank of words to help you, so that you can (a) grade those comments and (b) vary the language you use.
